Me
Hi! My name is Christopher Norton and I make things happen.
I am a very driven individual that has made the most of every employment opportunity that I have had. I believe that it really doesn’t matter what job you have, satisfaction can be found in doing a job well and to the best of your ability.
I started working on my career in 1999, when I was hired by a small independent garbage company to sell their services to businesses in southern Salt Lake and northern Utah Counties. Due to personal and company needs combined, I quickly found myself behind the wheel of a front-load garbage truck for Marathon Waste Services. That company sold out to Allied Waste, who was the 2nd largest trash company in the world at the time. After 5 1/2 years with them I again changed companies, but this time I was part of the founding of Black Diamond Waste. I have worked in nearly all aspects of the garbage removal industry for the past 10 years and I am currently in Operations at Ace Disposal in Salt Lake City.
I have a beautiful wife and 5 kids. They are my life, and they do their best to help me fill every waking hour of my day with things to do and sometimes they even succeed in filling a few non-waking hours as well.
We enjoy spending as much time as we can hiking near our home in Herriman, and walking our new puppy, Jet. I enjoy working with my hands and whenever possible, prefer to make auto repairs and home repairs myself. Getting back into school has never been a priority for us until recently. Once I saw the direction that my career could take with further training and schooling, I have had the fire necessary to keep up with my schedule of 50+ hours a week at work and 9-10 hours of classes each semester.
